So for the buoyant folks in South Africa it was a long weekend... Friday the 27th of April as well as Tuesday (May day) were public holidays... being the hard working and deserving person I am... I also took Monday off and thus I had a 5 day holiday!
The itinerary was as follows... (I might have sensor some of the info)

Friday:
Ginger mopped rocker Axl Rose and his band Guns 'N Roses is famous for many things which now includes 'festival-cancelling' as well as 'album-delaying' and 'employing a man who wears a KFC bucket on his head.'
What I am trying to say here is that on Friday we went to the annual Coke Fest.. Last Year the lineup included bands like FatBoy Slim, Metallica and and an array of other cool bands...
This years squad was AMAZING with bands like bla bla bla bla and GUNS 'N ROSES!!!!!!
We were so excited, went nuts and raced to computicket to buy golden circle tickets, outfits, Doc's, got little roses tattooed on our bodies and stopped eating because maybe Axl will want to take us backstage!!!!
Then the tragic news came... Turns out the unknown bass player has (smoked) too much rock in his blood, and it is a little known fact that when you are that much of a bad ass that you do not have to use the railing at hand when climbing down stairs. He hurt his fragile (track marked) wrist and is therefor not able to play at a festival held in a 3rd world country.... cough cough asshole cough!

So with our tails between our legs we moseyed back to computicket and got our money back. I was demoralized, desolate and crushed when my friend, Fish, called me and informed me that we're still going to the gig and pray for a miracle! (I copied his convincing speech and used it on Quelene.. it worked)
Well the miracle never happened but we got to see:
~ Hoobastank (they were pretty good)
~ 3 Doors Down (Soppy music is an understatement)
~ Stained (They moan a lot but the music was cool and we got to rock some)
~ Evenescense (All her songs sound the same but she is a cool chick)
~ I have to take my hat [KFC Bucket or what ever..] off for the SA bands that played... You all blew me away again!!!
Quelene and I shook it with Fish, Unagi, Zol, Barrabas (Andre) and Hennie and also another 23 000 of our closest friends.
Saturday:
German Beer Tent at the Randburg Waterfront.. whoo hoo...
1litre beer mugs... I'm sure that explains it all!
Sunday:
Lloyds' bday party
Monday:
I baby sat 6 month old Christian all day and is now a professional at cleaning poop filled diapers.
Tuesday: Lankie and I spent the day in Sandton, shopping, chatting, shopping, eating ice cream, shopping, complaining and shopping.
